Happy Valentine's Day, peepsies!

Hope you guys out there had a great Valentine with your lovers, family and friends.
Mine was great since morning.

As I still have to work during this special day, Boyfie gave me a surprise wake up call and I picked my mobile up with all smiles on my face. <3 :)

~~Not talking about the earlier incident about vehicles banged on to my car without any kisses or scratches.~~

BUT.. all was good after that! (If you guys added/followed me in Facebook/Twitter then you'll know what was up earlier).

A wallet as a Valentine's day gift to my dearest boyfie.

A few weeks before hitting Valentine's, he strictly told me NOT to buy any gifts for him as I need to save up. So I decided to ~~shock~~ surprise him with a wallet.

I put in pieces of color papers into the gift box and wrote a few short messages. As though that there were only full of different messages in the box until he finds it underneath,

THERE! WALLET with COMPARTMENTS! :D

And yes, he really did. Half shocked half surprised.. Accompanied with

"Aiyoooo~~"

We decided to head down to a Korean Restaurant, Dong Seoul, at Taman Sutera (Johor Bahru) as our Valentine's dine in because we seen many good comments about the food online.

It's available for reservations!

They have 2 floors. The spaces at each floor weren't that spacious, but I love the cosiness. It felt as if it was a home stay.

Prices were very reasonable. They only charge you what you have ordered without any service or tax charges!!! We were super surprised.. like... Eh?? So nice?? *smiles*

As usual, while waiting for the food to be served, camwhoring was a must..

Hmm.. probably for me, not him. You know it when you look at his face. :P

My favourite!! One of our side dishes, Deokbokki, Korean Spicy Rice Cake. Nom Nom Nom.. You should try it if you haven't yet at a Korean restaurant.

And Fried Korean Dong Hoon.. Just by seeing it, really makes people drool. As it was fried at a perfect timing, you won't feel that it's super soft when you eat it and the saltiness level was just nice!

New found love!

Korean snacks included in the BBQ set! Mostly with veges! Healthy isn't it?

It's BBQ time! The raw pork meat they served was fresh. Chewy and very fragrant after the BBQ!!

And lastly our, toufu soup.

If it was exactly what you were wondering..

Yes, we definitely ate a lot during the Vday's dinner. Luckily we were smart enough to save our stomach for that. Very expected! Still, we were both quite bloated.. Couldn't really stand up after dinner. Lol!

But we were very satisfied with it.

Will definitely come back again.. Of course, not exactly during the next Valentine's day, ok? XD

Also a surprise of a cute bouquet of flowers with a teddy bear and a card from him.

Can't show you guys what was written in the card. Not public.. Only for me. Hehe. Sorry..! Hope you'll understand. :)

Always on a Valentine's day, I don't go all out for big celebrations, parties, flowers, chocolates or a great dinner. A good accompany that will make me happy and spending quality time with my other half would be just enough for me.

Always The Best Chingay in Johor Bahru

It was JB Best Chingay Parade last night. The people joined in the fun of the procession getting more and more each year and everyone was so high about it!!! Even though, sometimes I'll complain that JB(Johor Bahru) doesn't have the clothes or things I want to buy or nowhere fun to go or probably I'm already numb about it but I'm still super duper proud of myself that I'm a JB girl cuz NOWHERE in the world has a procession like this where almost everyone can join in for the fun of it! Not even in KL or other cities or towns in Malaysia.

Only in JB! :D

Look at the crowd on the 1st day on a Saturday night. Everyone came into Xing Gong which was like a court where 5 Deities will be welcomed in every year of Chingay to pray.

And Ta-dah! Time past us really quickly and it was already the 2nd day which was on a Sunday yesterday when the procession cum everybody's party and also for the Deities to come out to play started! It was around 5pm when most of the dragon and lion troupes will come into the court to greet the Deities before going out on the road to get ready.

It's the DRAGON year this year and they brought out a lot of Dragons out there for the Chingay procession. I always love Dragon dances. Oh! Seriously, man! Speechless!

There were also quite a few creative made Dragons too. This one was made out of Carslberg skin. You see the Carlsberg logo there? Interesting eh? ;)

And let's get on with some of our faces. For such a hot day, it's ice cream cone time!! It was also our childhood's ice cream. *sweet!*

And there I met my colleague who teaches piano too. Meet Lee Koon. I love her name because I really thought it was a very cool one. We belonged to a same boat too because she will go crazy for Chingay as well! High Five! <3

My dearest godsister, Nana darling. She will always be turned on whenever there's Chingay but she couldn't crazily walk with us further because she has her dearest son, Justin with her. While enjoying the parade, she also needs to take good care of her son too. Very respected mommy...! ^^

With the big head doll! I really think I already have a fave for pink recently. The color really stands out of everything. Eye attraction too. :D

The dragon baby! It caught my attention and it was a must take with it! I'm a happy girl!

PINK again! Love this lion a lot. It looked so coyish, wasn't it? *awws*

And Lol! It was the only day when Petronas made GREAT money! Look at the queue inside! THIS can be crazier than I could ever imagine!

Saw these 2 little lions who caught everyone's attention. Very adorable! I bet those kids inside there were too.

Even kids these days know how to enjoy our Chingay. :)

Chap Goh Meh

Time past so fast just like that and it was already the last day of CNY which was the 15th day of the Chinese Calendar but the festive month has ended happily with all smiles on our faces. I hope that same goes for you peeps too. :)

We had a dinner gathering at our dearest grandma's temple with our dear family, friends and devotees. Look at the food we all helped to prepare earlier. It looked so delicious, wasn't it? You see my boyfie there? He was already hungry.. Can't wait to eat! Lol!

My mom's homemade delicacies. So colorful... Proud of her! xox

Of course, our Chinese tradition of Yee Sang. How would we forget about it? Which we can take our chopsticks to bring it up high and low and go

Dad gave a short welcome speech to our dear friends and family and thanked them for joining the gathering with us. :)

Wishing Lanterns!!! We were all excited about it especially those who put up for the first time. Just like me the other day. Greeted goodbye to the lanterns once they flew up high and they had fun! :D

And we ended the Chap Goh Meh's gathering with our Chinese tradition firecrackers!

We Love Dance.Ologist

This was my first time attending We Love Dance.Ologist concert on the 5th Feb 2012. I felt so honored to be there to perform with my dance mates and to see each and every dancers' love, passion and unity towards dance and their "HIGHNESS".. It was just AMAZING than I ever thought it would be. I really can't imagine if I was not even there. I swear I'll regret this A LOT! I wouldn't want my dance mates to tell me

"It was sooo high back that night. Charmaine, you should have come la... Wasted..!"

LOL! I really don't want that coming but I was really glad I did. :)

The Dance Organizer, Trinity, who was the leader of Dancologist booked the whole Jazz and Blues club in Holiday Plaza for the concert to be held there with all 3 schools Funfit, Fusion and Sailormoon dance studios I saw her danced and it was FANTABULOUS! :D

My closest dance mate, Wendy. Most you met her in my other posts too. Hehe. Us and our first time in huge make ups and different outfits for the year. For your info, the huge makeup wasn't obvious in our pictures though.

These were the fewest with a slightly clear version I took with my camera. There were quite a lot of students performed, of course. And they rocked it! :)

And finally dance performances by our professional teachers. They were sooooo pro until we were speechless yet HIGH!

If there will be any other dance concerts going on next year or any upcoming ones, I really do wanna join in again. Can't forget about the fun we had. :)

Finally, Our Own Wishing Lantern

What can you ask for more when you can get together with your loved ones during the Chinese New Year month?

Every year, we see lanterns flying high up at night beautifully in our area. But tonight, it's our turn to enjoy watching our own wishing lantern flying. :)

I picked this lantern to fly for the first time. It written there

"Long Fei Jiu Tian" in Chinese. I didn't know what it meant but I was sure it was a very good meaning.

My 1st wish on the lantern!!!!

Everyone gathered around. If only Dad and little brother were there. But tonight each of them were busy. But we bought more than 1. Will fly it up again together with them very soon! :D

And now, blowing like a hot air balloon....!!

Finally, it went high up very fast!! We all happily greeted GOODBYE!!!

And fhis was something that I really wanted to share with you peepsies for a very long time!!

RAY magazine, New Love

I've always been a fan of female magazines especially Cleo and Vivi. These 2 are my faves since duper unknown years ago! And now I've found a new love...

RAY magazine and they already have the English version!! It's not that I don't read Chinese but reading in English is much more convenient for me. Probably, I'm just used to it. Hehe.

This was my very 1st Japanese Ray Magazine in January 2012 edition!! *hops around*

Just like many Asian magazines, they show you the latest Asian trend and they have cute ballerina flats. If only I could own them! And what do we know, there's even sweet looking nail arts. So, are you up for some pampering!! Girls' biggest ADDICTION!! <3

They also teach you how to DIY your hair for casual outings. Recently, I began to fond for braided hairstyles because it really look sweet on any short, medium or long hair with any simple braided hairdo. It really outstand the look of any girls. :)

I simply love this braided hairdo of hers.. because it's really simple and very easy to manage. It worked especially on a bad hair day. XD

Seriously, 2 braided ponytails do look really cute! But I don't think I can go with this already.. No more in my teenage years but maybe I can go for a dare some day. :P

Definitely a BIG fan of Jessica Alba!! I love how she looked with her fashion, hairstyles and ya de ya de!! Definitely would want to try this during evening events. She's damn hawt!!!

F) BE SLIMMER DAY BY DAY! :D... BIGGEST RESOLUTION!!

Ever since my first pedicure with Rachel last year, i became addicted to pedi mani. Before I started, I just couldn't understand why those ladies wasting their money on that when they can easily color their nails at home but now I can fully understand. Not knowing how to explain properly but it's just too addictive...!!

It's like you got to do it occasionally or even if you have the money, you can just pamper yourself once in awhile. But you still need to know your limits la!

As for CNY 2012, I did manicure and I always love bold colors so I chose the color red for my finger nails.

This year's spring clean was DUPER rush and it was the most tiring one ~~*fainted*~~. When I was a lot younger, I always thought spring clean was the best joy ever but when I got older, it became the worst joy ever. Probably, during kid's years, I didn't really do much house work until I became an adult, really making sure every places must be clean and even swept or mopped the floor until zero energy left so I prayed to God, despite having a super duper hard work at home, hope that He will give us

a better New Year, a better Joy!

We have never miss the reunion dinner ... A table of 8 enjoying the warmth at home with homemade steamboat. We have straw and oyster mushrooms, slices of chicken meat, mini sausages, fishballs and abalones! Nom nom nom...

1st day of CNY has arrived and decided to go with a simple DIY braided hairstyle.

Never fail to watch the dragon and the lion dance performances every year. Family and friends always gather to ask for properity !

My Best Brother and Sister's Wedding!

This day has arrived on the Oct 30th. My big bro and sis's (CK and Wendy) wedding day. By the way, if you guys were wondering, are they really my siblings? Well, actually they were my closest buddies but they had long treated me as their little sister and they were like my real siblings who I can pour my happiness and sorrows to them whenever I want to. :)

During the wedding eve's night, Wendy and her parents invited relatives and friends over to their place to celebrate and spend the eve with Wendy. We were sooo happy and excited for her!

And the actual day has arrived.

These were for the morning tea ceremony. It is a Chinese tradition that the married couple has to serve tea for each other's parents and relatives as a respect and acknowledgement.

Look at our lil cute boy, Justin, has grown so much...! And here we see, he seemed to have some hip hop posing talent. A dancer to be. =P

How I wished that this makeup set was mine!! Lol! This was belonged to Wendy's makeup artist, Collen. Girls, envied right? If only we have all these. Proper makeup box, brushes, and all cosmetics to make us looked pretty and pampered. Hehe.

The bride was all ready and up about... She looked like a beautiful angel. I was with my WHOA expression when she was in full makeup! A totally different look she has.

These were one of the games for the groom to choose for his accompanions/ "best men" to play or to go through before he can enter the house to see his bride.

Tsk tsk tsk.. The games weren't that bad. Better than the exaggerating ones we seen. But I didn't take pictures of any of them cuz I was out there leading with Serene(one of the bridesmaid) and enjoyed watching the show. *evil laugh*

We were all getting ready for the materials for the game in the kitchen.

Camera man directing us of what we should say and where we have to turn to.. We were all like actresses!

After the game, the groom has finally got in the house and brought his bride out of her room.
And the tea ceremony has officially started with Wendy's parents and relatives.

The BMW sports car was their wedding car for the day. So cool right? I was so into the car roof opening part.

*A hint to Boyfie... Excuse me....*

See how handsome CK sitting inside the driver's seat. So proud of him! :)

Then we went over to the groom's place and had another tea ceremony between the couple and CK's parents and relatives there.

After busying for 1 whole day, we were getting ready for the wedding dinner later. Nana was all so happy when she was make up pampered by Collen, the makeup artist.

"Yes, you looked beautiful as well, honey" :)

The time has arrived, guest starting to come into the hall and sign greetings to the new married couple. The dinner was held in Grand Straits View Garden located in Johor Bahru.

And the dinner started off when the married couple entered the hall.

My new found crazy friend, Fafa. Another partner in crime aka Nana's colleague. XP

They had another round of entrance to the dinner hall.

I really love Wendy's cheongsam. She looked damn hot!!! And not forgetting about u, CK. You looked stunningly handsome too!... :D

When they have entered the hall the 2nd time and went up the stage pouring champagne through all these glasses to be represented as

"LONG LIVE THE NEW MARRIED COUPLE!!! "

Basically, that was my own definition. :P

And the dinner has finally happily ended after the last few plates and married couple going around the tables to YAMMMMMM SENGGGG.... It meant cheers. This is also one of the Chinese tradition to greet with people who came for the wedding dinner.

I can say it was a very successful BIG DAY!

Honestly, I've never been SOOO busy for anybody's wedding preparations before.

Really busy.... but I was so glad that I was part of it.

Happy and Satisfied... Made my day~

Let's Unwind It!

Happy Diwali to all Indian friends....

I bet you guys had a great day out!!! =D

As it is a holiday today, came out to drink with people that I love to bits last night. I thought it was a whole new thing about drinking.

Drinking isn't bad when u wanna chillax with ur beloveds.

Getting drunk isn't bad either because you just wanna get those mind depression or stressed thoughts out when you had stored in your mind for a very long time.

Yes! I was half drunk last night. I still remember that I couldn't really walk straight and believe it or not, I have never been THIS half drunk ever since I started drinking like what? At the age of 16? 17? =P

We went to the "most happening night life place" in Johor Bahru, the Zon Area located in Stulang. There were a few pubs, bars and 2 clubs to choose. We decided to go to the Avenue Pub as it looked more crowded. XP

We ordered 4 buckets of beer. This 1st bucket was Hoegarden and the other 3 buckets were Budweisers which came later. Funny how, usually I don't get drunk so fast. But then again, I just wanna unwind it all like what I said earlier. Probably not all, maybe part of it. Better than nothing, right?? :)

Aaaah... Now we know why the place looked more crowded than the other pubs we surveyed because there were 2 pretty looking pole dancers. Not only the guys who kept staring at them even the girls, man... They were damn good at hanging themselves on the pole like free air and they were damnnn slim!!!! Envied!!!!

And we spotted quite a few chikopeks(perverted guys) who kept hanging their eyes on them. We rarely see them bling. XD

My close friend... No... I should say it like before.. My PARTNER IN CRIME! Had so much with her!

We got drunk, We got high, We danced together... We laughed at our own jokes, even at the lousiest ones.

Love her to bits and pieces. That would explained how much would it be huh? Xoxo

Oh! By the way, I knew this friend of Wendy sometime ago, he was sucha cool friend.. His name is Edmund. He was with us too. And daaaaaamn! How could I ever forget about him... No pictures???? Seriously???

And thank you, bee.. For driving me there and back home, taking the best care of me when I was not myself last night. Hehe!

Went to Kinsahi again but this time round with my partner in crime, Wendy and it's located in KSL City, JB... Hehe.

Just look at her face... I asked her to smile but she seemed not very interested to cuz she left her precious Iphone and camera at home. One of her most important things in her life. But the best part, she didn't even know where she left her "important things" at home. Silly right?? Haha.

It was members' week at Kinsahi. I think it's gonna end soon. Probably this Saturday? The sashimi was originally at RM48.00 ++ but cuz of the members' week, it was half the price like RM24.00++. So we ordered it, just to make sure we won't regret! If you're a sashimi lover, you should know how we felt if you missed it!! :P

Secretly bought him this bag he saw few days before his birthday. He lurved it! :)

And I bought him dinner at Kinsahi Japanese Restaurant located in City Square, Johor Bahru.

We watched a musical show called the Monster Rock. We couldn't take any pictures in the auditorium but the show blown me away... with all of their ways of singing, dance choreography, and their fireworks. I was speechless!! :D

Then there was a street entertainment of breakdancers performing. Yes, they blown me away too. Their funny. Btw, I wondered if the one with sunglasses (the 2nd one on the left) cute or not? Oh my god..

Dad's Birthday gift. He loved it! But again, Happy Belated Birthday, Dad! Lotsa loves...

For what I've realized, September has the most birthday babies!! Dad's birthday has past and my lil baby bro's birthday is coming up next week! See what I meant? But funny how, I love to see their looking forward to their birthdays' faces. It's cute though. :)

Darnish, my primary school a.k.a childhood friend. She has flew back to UK. Man! I missed her..!!! :(

We went pampering ourselves in KSL Shopping Mall on our last day meeting each other. We had so much fun on our girls' day out. Hopefully we could do that again next year. :)

And she said I love to Ghost Pose myself and yes, I do. Heheh.

And our healthy choice of dessert.. Ermm.. Well not exactly, when she didn't add any fruits in her yoghurt on the right side. :P

Then there was a dear friend who has gone back to the UK for studies too, Yvonne. She celebrated her early early early 21st birthday(which was supposed to be during the month of January next year) at her place. See how cute her jelly cake was.... Sweet! : D

Then Nana, if u remember who she was... She's my godsister. It was so sweet of her treating Wendy(also my godsister) and I to Elmigos, a Mexican cuisine restaurant.

OLA Bangkok!

It was my 2nd time visiting Bangkok and honestly, this was my very very super very 1st time going on a trip with my girls.

Excited!! :D

We planned to take the river cruise in order to cover most of the tourist spots in Bangkok like museums, exhibition centres and temples but we were advised not to take the cruise because the river has started to flood as it was the month of the raining weather. It was pretty sad to hear that though... So what we did was visiting quite a number of temples. It was a lil dissapointing but rather, we had fun on our own. :)

P/S: BERGER! on the farrrr left. he looked as if he was some passer by. Haha. By the way, Berger was his nickname, I guessed.

Chikok a.k.a Wan Li (in the middle) and I love their sarungs with striking colors. We planned to buy it on our next trip but it'll only happen when we go to Pulau Redang next year!! :D

We went to Chatuchak, also known as the weekend market... It used to be a bargaining place for you to grab cheap clothes, shoes and accessories but there were more and more tourists who came to visit and it became harder to bargain. Even I'm a BARGAIN QUEEN myself but most of them just didn't want to give me any free ways.

Their best method was to let you see their hot tempered expression(black thunder face) to hint you to not mess with them any further.

Hmmm.. What if I hint them back??

Nahhh!! I kid...

But I did grab some clothes with reasonable prices. Better than never. :D

Then we visited the well know "Si Mian Fo" a.k.a Sutta on Four Faced Buddha. It was known for people who asked for their prayers or rather what they wish for to come true and once it has answered, they have to hire the local Thai dance troupes to perform in order to repay kindness to the Buddha.

It has been awhile since I last doll up. But what are girls for right? Dolling up is the most important part if you're talking about pampering. Yes, I do love to make myself pretty! :D

I didn't know my hair color was pretty close to maroon below the sunlight. I'm soo gonna dye this color cuz it looked so sexay! Haha!

And what do you know? I miss this babe, Rachel! It was so good to see her! One of my partner in crime for random things.. :D

She seemed to know me so well that she realized my new favourite sentence...

Well, speaking of pampering... We went to the nail centre in KSL. It was spacious and really relaxing. Don't be shocked.. For my last 23 years, this was my very 1st time doing nails. Only did pedicure that day! XP

Say Olaaaaa to HO CHIH MINH, VIETNAM!!

My family and I were there for 5 days. Time flew so fast that we were surprised that it was time to go back. It was really a worthed holiday.. Simple but fun. :)

Upon arrival at the airport, we received flowers from our tourist guide. They were so fresh that I just could not stop smelling it. Sweetness, wasn't it? :)

This was our first stop for lunch. I got a huge impression on this. Having a cosy lunch with my family near the pond. It was what I dreamt of before!!!

Looking at their menu.. And we saw, Gia Cay(False Dog-meat ...) Were they sure about it? I didn't even want to try. Very sorry. ==

Here comes the Vietnamese version of their D.I.Y popiah! We gotta fold it all by ourselves which I found it pretty fun. The best part was, they served A LOT of vegetables for every meal.. Healthy and damnnnnn good for people who has to go on diet like ME!!! :D

Seee.. they have tosai too! Hehe. Nah, I kid.. It was their local appetizer, the pancake. It really looked like tosai or roti canai but it tasted a lot better. Me likey!!

Those who only loves to eat meat but not vegetables or fruits, I think they are not gonna be able to survive there. Haha. Hey, c'mon! I know you guys out there would be able to adapt to it. It's gonna be all about the MOTIVATION yow~~!

Then we went to the museum to learn about the war between US and Vietnam. We learnt so much about it and the picture of the old man I took was the 1st picture I felt like crying. He was actually tryna crawl to the safest place and he looked like he was trying to get himself saved but it was too late when rifles started shooting him.

This was the jail for the Vietnamese who didn't support US. They don't just get locked up. (If you know what I meant.)

We went to the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office to get good shots out of it. It was Old SCHOOL, man! I love the architecture of the French design. If only Malaysia was like that. Good design, Good architecture. But I think we only can just daydream about it! XP

Oh~ How could I ever forget! DIM.... A sweet, caring tourist guide a.k.a friend as she was! We love her! Yea, she was my FIRSTTTTT friend in Vietnam! :D

A puppet show that you couldn't miss!! The show was mainly about their culture and how they work to live. They performed in the water and it was actually called as The Water Puppet Show. It was something to learn too.

We visited 2 temples, a pagoda and Caodaism temple. It was pretty cool to know the differences of how they serve or to be committed in the same religion between 2 countries. Again, the architecture.. I was really amazed by how the Vietnamese maintained the tradition or which I can say old school of the temples but still keeping it new. Seriously, RESPECT!!

Probably you would think that this was none other than our kueh teow soup and it'd taste the same but noooo... It's quite unexplainable. You just gotta try it. This was my new found fave! Their local chicken/beef noodles! They call it Pho Ga(Fur Gay) for chicken noodles. Ok, the direct translation of English sounded odd. :X

Cu Chi Tunnel is a MUST TO GO place. You can witness how smart Vietnamese soldiers were! Like how they dug underground tunnels to protect themselves, women and the children. How they set traps for the US soldiers and how they made slippers with tyre skins. You got to experience crawling under the tunnels too. All tunnels were originally left behind by the war but of course, there were some that have collapsed.

I just can't help myself thinking that.. Dogs in Vietnam seriously have the Vietnamese looks!! Look properly.. and you agree with me? :D

Every rest stops in Vietnam looks like this. It's so cool where you can rest and enjoy your drinks.

Khoon, testing the original honey from the hives while Mom standing there hesitating whether to try or not to? :P

While enjoying their honey tea and fruits, listening to good local music and looking at the greens around you. That's island life there. Quiet and peaceful. :)

I don't know why but I thought that we looked really cute wearing the Vietnamese hats. Hehe.

I hesitated sooooo much when they asked me to try to hang the python around me. I really need to make sure that it was blind.. cuz it was about time for it to get skin changed.

They were NOT fancy caps... But helmets for motorists. I don't think it's allowed to wear it in Malaysia though. XP

One of the local beer in Vietnam.. Only cost RM2 or RM3 only!!! Where can you find it anywhere here other than the Duty Free Zone! OMG!

The known motorbikes city. Even though their traffic is one of the scariest yet exciting one but I learnt how to cross the roads there. Somehow, I found it quite fun! :D Was like you're entering an outdoor theme park!

My parents said the baby there looked exactly like me when I was a baby. I didn't agree but when I came home and compare her with my baby pictures. OMG! She was my CLONE!!!

I wished I got more space for SMIRNOFF!!!!!!!!! :( *Sad case*

Good memories back there... I'll definitely come back again.

It has really been awhile since I last clubbed. Probably, 1 OR 2 years back???

Clubbing to me has always because of dancing. Not the beer, liquor or cute guys but the

DANCING!!

I may not appear as a good dancer.. but all this while,

it has never fail to take off my unhappiness and stressed situations that has been running through my mind. :)

Even during when we were in the mid of dancing on the dance floor, asking one another, why were we close only after high school graduation??

Dragon Dance Competition

On the 28th of July 2011, there was a Dragon Dance Competition at a stadium near Hong Kong Boy Food Court in Johor Jaya. I was all sooo excited about it. I was glad that I didnt have to work that day!!!

Well, no matter how I love our Johor Bahru's Chingay Festival but whether you believe it or not..

I've never watched ANY of the Dragon Dance competition before!!!

I'm being damn honest about it!!

Yes, there were some people getting all Hoo Hah when I said that...

I felt annoyed! Even my own Bfriend got all hoo hah about it. ==

They were rehearsing before the competition started. I felt excited about these troupes as they were all soo excited and nervous when they were gonna perform infront of the judges and so many audiences.

I was amazed by one of the troupes called Hong Yang as they have young teenage girls to compete. They performed quite well, I can say! Salute to you girls! :D

Introducing the judges time! I didn't know they were so many! Like, seriously!

And the competition begun!!! They usually don't compete with the lights on.. That was why they called it as Night Dragons?? I think so... I'm not sure how it came about, actually. XP

Ok! Time to sit down and update! Before I go on, I would like to introduce my baby cousin nephew(if this was how we supposed to call).....

After a hair trimmed with Wendy, another close friend of mine from Convent High School, we went to Kinsahi located in KSL Shopping Mall to have our dinner! Seriously, this was one of the biggest and provided, it really has a good ambience. We thought it'd be the same small eating place like the one in City Square if you guys out there have seen it.

These 2 plates of sushi were definitely one of my faves! Especially the one with RAW SALMON(1st picture).. Omg!!

It was supposed to be a short meet up with my darling, Darnish... However, we ended up in a KTV room..! Seriously, LMAO!! Hahaha.. Standing up on sofas, singing our lungs out, laughing all the way, camwhores! I wouldn't know where to find such fun life everyday!

Well, money wasn't the concern or should I say, life should be the happier way to go on even without money?? You should know what I meant right? Hehe.

It has really been awhile since I last wore color lens. I've always been a fan of GREEN lens so I decided on getting the Fresh Kon ones.. I realized the differences between the brands of Fresh Look and Fresh Kon.

Fresh Look color lens definitely have the prettier colors but at the end of the day when you wear them, it'll become dry. Like something blocking your eyes.

Fresh Kon color lens are not as pretty as the Fresh Look lens but you'll definitely feel comfortable wearing them even it is for the whole day.

If only Fresh Look can be wore comfortably as Fresh Kon ones.. It'd be GREAT! Pretty colors and comfortable to wear. :)

William and I went to watch the Lion dance competition located at Jln Tan Hiok Nee... known as the Cultural Walk? If I'm not mistaken... Every Friday, they'll also put up junk sales over there.

Man! I definitely seen a lot of familiar faces... But I just couldn't remember who were they! I bet they were thinking the same too! We got that weird look when we saw each other.

These were only one of them.. cuz I didn't take many pictures of the lion dances cuz there was always people walking past by or things blocking.. Lion dances moved fast and things like that. Hehe!

Went to chill at The Zon with my B-friend. This was the FIRST time ever that I actually chillax and drink cocktails with him ALONE..! The atmosphere was there but not many people around though. Probably the next day is a Monday, they have to face the working Monday blue.. So poor thing.. We've been there too!

B-friend took a few pictures of me but this was the only picture I was satisfied with. Even there's a little bit of BLUR EFFECT! XP

I had a SUPER CRAZEE day out with my babes...

Darnish and Charlene.. My old schoolmates from Convent High School.

Our laughter started when we saw each other in City Square Shopping Mall right from noon until in the evening around 6:30pm. We really laughed like there was no one around us. Freaking loud, I can say. We felt shoo tired at the end of the day but we did enjoy with each other's companions. We did what every girl likes to do..

Gossips, updates about each other's lives, boyfriends, nonsense... and bla bla bla..

After our lunch at Kim Gary, we went to Neway Karaoke to sing our lungs out. Sang random songs like Percayalah and Cindai by Siti Nurhaliza (these songs were famous back in our Convent high school days) We didn't really sing Cindai when Darnish said someone told her that Cindai meant for ghost.. =S

So what do you think about this....

We were tryna act cute.. Omg! Can u believe.. WE.. acting cute...??? Gosh... And yea, we totally sucked at it.

For the past few weeks, I heard of Anmour Cafe and friends in Facebook "checking into" the place. So upon curiosity, William and I decided to chillax and have our dinner there. When I stepped into the cafe, I personally felt that it was comfortable. Besides, their services were good too. :)

Pictures of Marilyn Monroe hanging on the wall... We thought to ourselves that probably the boss there was a fan of hers. *Giggles*

Nah.. Just kidding... ^^

These were what we have for dinner... Prices of food and drinks were very reasonable and yea, the food was good in their very own unique way. If you have yet visited Anmour Cafe, you should try someday with your family or friends.

Last night, Mom and I went to the Persada Convention Hall cuz they were having the Metrojaya's BIG SALES there. It was around 9.30pm at that time, but there were still so many people around and I saw quite a few familiar faces too. Teehee~

One reason that Mom and I were there, not because of bed sheets, clothes, or home decorations but Triumph BRAs were selling cheap!!!

There were as low as RM20 too.. "Are u damn sureee??" That appeared in my mind..

Bags... Bags... Bags... were always the heart loved by all ladies.

Didn't have time to look around or I would spend quite some time considering them! :(

got our reserved passes when we decided to buy something that we liked. It was very convenient when there were promoters helped us to bring our stuffs to the receptions first. After we decided to pay, we went straight to the counter and claimed our stuffs.

First of all, I would like to wish ALLL daddies in the world a

HAPPY DADDIES' DAY!!!

This will be my first time updating my blog via my Lil Black BB 9780. Sooo convenient.. Loving it!! I know I've been yapping, showing off how great that I'm using it now via twitter most of the time but please do bear with me. It'll be over soon.. Hehe XP

We went to Restoran See Hai and have a daddy's night dinner there. Business was good but we waited for almost half an hour for the food to arrive at our table. I understood it was Sunday which was almost everyone's holiday and it was also Father's Day which explaint the wait. I didn't know whether it was just me or what.. I was really really starving... Whoopsss.. :X

So these were what we ate half way through. There were steamed fish, vege, toufu, chicken meat and Fa Lam Pou(my dad's all time favorite dish. It was with sliced pork meat, dried chilli, a little bit of ginger, I guess?? and some black sauce. Hehe).

Most importantly, my dad seemed to be happy and satisfied with it. We all did too. :)

It was all MOMS' DAY!! I surprised Mommy and my aunt who had took care of us all these while with the Royal's Chocoffee Praline. It actually came with a stalk of flower and vouchers to a saloon for a hairdo. It was our first time tasting a crepe cake with a lot of layers which was quite special. Surprisingly, it was good!

Can you believe it??? I ordered it online via Facebook! Trust me, I've never dare to try ordering food online. After so much of consideration, I did!! Dua Pek Gong's Birthday

Today was the 3rd day of the 3rd month in the Chinese calender and it was also Dua Pek Gong's Birthday. I've never missed any processions like this... Well, I may not be free but I always try my very best to attend. Hmmm, don't ask me why am I so into it? 1st batch of people asked me, " Yea, it's always crowded but isn't the procession the same for almost every year? Why are you so excited about it?" and the 2nd batch of people told me, "Well, it's just practically fate... Just fate... or chemistry?"... Obviously, I think I like the 2nd batch of people better.

*Hehe. Just to ease my ears~ =P*

People there watching the ceremony of Dua Pek Gong and other deities coming down to earth "possessing" into humans' body. In Mandarin, we called as "Xia Tong".

Then came down to my grandma's temple. Waiting for the procession to arrive.

These kids were cute... When I was staring at a pace. And all of the sudden, the one with Hawaiian tops and shorts came to me and reminded me that the lion and the dragon dances are coming and asked me to wait. So awww~

There went the HUAT A! HUAT A! HUAT A! HENG A! HENG A! HENG A!... And yet again, praying for loved ones and troupes and groups giving respects to Gods in our grandma's temple. =)

Chingay 2011

This was what I've been looking forward for every year... Always being so excited about Chingay!

It was the 1st night of Chingay. Too bad I couldn't attend the morning procession to welcome the deities out to "play" as it was still my working day. But I thought I was luckier than anyone else because even though, I couldn't attend, I can still see from far..... *peace out*

Talking about the biggest Chingay festival in JB that falls on a working/schooling week this year!! Despite of it, the crowd was bigger compared to the crowd last year. Even though that last year fell during the weekend. It was really surprising!!

2nd day of Chingay arrived! I've been counting down the hours went. William and I arrived at the "sheng chang" at 5:15pm. Lucky us... We found a shelter.. Cuz the sky didn't look good. And there the heavy rain came at 5:30pm and stopped completely at 6:30pm.. We stood until our legs were so tired. But nothing can compare to this~~

Just look at the countless crowd during the working/schooling week! Everyone's talking about the crowd will be even crazier next year as it will be falling on the weekends!

And the greetings between troupes and groups begun!

I love the dancing big head dolls.. And also one of my favorites.. So cute and funny especially this one. They really made my day... =D!

Everyone there giving their prayers for their loved ones and themselves. It was also a festival where everyone can get to know new friends and a place to have fun..!

CNY Dinner

Last Sunday night, my family and I went to the Royal Johor Country Club. The short form for it is RJCC. There was a CNY gathering dinner there. This time, the performances were outdoors at the poolside.. We were sooo curious about what if it started to rain half way the performances. *Hahaha* Naughty us! =P

Ok, my bad. I think most of us have got used to it calling RJCC... But it has changed name to just Johor Golf and Country Club. Why do they wanna omit the Royal? Hmmm...

Whenever someone passes me an orange, I will peel it like the above picture. Does it ring a bell to you? I think some do right?

BINGO!!!

The lion dance troupes do that. I always like how they peel it.. So I learnt it from them. This habit of mine has been ongoing for 3 or 4 years. Haha~

As the night falls, many people has arrived and the late Johor Sultan's son was there too. Couldn't get a close up picture of him cuz I was wearing a tube dress. I was afraid if I was close up with him, the guards will need to ask me to wear a tudung..! Oh no... sorry..~

Food arrived... This is just the 2 front dishes. =)

The lion dance was the most ""mood happening"" performance! Well, this was not the only one.. There were different performances until 11pm. By the way, there was no raining.... And God blesses us all. =)))

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

Some people thinks that celebrating Valentine's day is just like any other days. But, if you know how to make it special, it will definitely be special. "Charmaine... 16:12" hehe...

This year's Valentine's day falls on a working day which to most of us out here will feel...

"Aihhh~ if only it's a weekend..."

But never knew, he took leave off yesterday for both of us to celebrate. I felt awwwww... It was the first time we celebrated Valentine on it's very very very day. Last year, we celebrated like few days or a week before.. to avoid any "traffic jam" in any restaurants.

He surprised me with a cute little teddy bear. It was so soft to hug.. Not forgetting my own SWATCH watch. I've always wanted one for myself long time ago and today it was all because of you.. Love you, bee.. Muacks! =D

We went to Gianni's at Jalan Serampang.. Love the ambience there... But we can't order Ala Carte's.. Only Valentine's Day sets available. The sets were definitely overpriced.. Honestly, we got a littleeeee... winny.... shock.. out of it... But it's ok, only for this year. Hehe.

Our champagne... I think he's enjoying the drink. =)

Our 1st appetizer.. Pumpkin soup.. The purple decoration for the soup definitely looked quite wrong. I don't know if you were thinking the same thing as I was. XP

I love the 2nd appetizer cuz there's sashimi's in there.. Yum Yum!

Loving the fireworks especially during CNY. No other words to describe when it's so convenient cuz I get to see it for FOC and it's only just around my place.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

Every CNY, full of delicacies like love letters, candies and not forgetting my all time CNY snacks... PINEAPPLE TARTS! Nom.. Nom.. Nom... But this year was better. The pineapple filling will just melt through while you are nomming. Tasted Mamma - Miaaa~~~

On the 3rd day of CNY, my family and I were on the little ferry on our way to Batam island. We went just to relax our minds.. Just look at Mom and Dad, so sweet. They looked like they were in the mid of their own world =)

We arrived at our looked a like ship hotel. It looked exactly when we were browsing through the internet for hotel booking. Niceee~

Then we visited Batam's largest temple. It's name was "Maha Vihara Duta Matreiya". The temple was so clean and very spacious... Then we saw this:

We went for lunch at their tourist spot restaurant.. The Golden Prawn.. The waiter sitting right across our table, leaning his feet against the MPJB rubbish bin. Really know when to slack. I wonder what if their boss sees this. *evil laughs*

After lunch, we went back to our hotel rooms to have a good rest before we explore again but when I saw that there was a long mirror in the room. I got tempted by it and told myself "I'm gonna get one picture of myself with this".. Sounded lame and very bimbo-ish. Hehe.

What to do...? This is always the typical girls' stuff. XP

We went to the Nagoya Hill shopping mall. It was known as the biggest shopping mall in Batam as well. Things inside weren't as cheap as we thought.. Really... Even though it was in Rupiah.

I've never like Mathematics, but this was my first time having headaches converting currencies especially in Rupiah with all the thousands and millions.

Since we were there, we went for an Indonesian Massage. The one who massaged for me, she was damn good~ But ticklish at the same time.. Especially when she massaged my thigh.. I actually can hold my laughter.

There you go.. Our looked a like ship hotel.. It was pretty with the lights at night. =)

Drank beer with my family at a food court behind the hotel. Cheers~!

It was the 4th day of CNY and also the day we were going back to JB. Before we headed to the Batam ferry checkpoint, we went to to "Tua Pek Gong" temple to give our prayers for family to be safe and sound and hope for this year to be better. =)

10th day of CNY! Gosh.. Time past us very fast and it felt like I haven't done anything. =P

All of our family and friends went down to my grandma's temple to have a small CNY dinner gathering.

Well, guess who's back for blogging... Lol! I was so busy. Caught up with work, dates, bla bla bla... but at the end of the day, I wondered to myself, "Funny how, what exactly I've been busying with?"... It has been almost 7 months, I've stopped blogging!! THAT is kinda a record for me.

Hours back, I had a home made steamboat reunion dinner with my loved ones. Accompanied by coke and red wine. Mmmmm~~

My homemade wanton... =) .. No, seriously my homemade wanton. I really did it my own. So delighted of them to have a taste of it. It was not too bad for first attempt la! As long it's cooked! Hehe.

Fireworks has started a week earlier. Guessed almost everyone was looking forward to CNY very much or they were afraid that there would be drizzles or heavy rain again?? XP

But they really created some CNY mood over here. Very niceeeee~~~

Okie doks, gonna go for visitings and ang pows to collect... Most of all, CNY gambles...!!!

It was only just Sunday... Cuz of my change of working life, I have wasted a lot of time not getting to see them.

Well, I MISS THEM, You get it?? =P

I miss being random, funny minding other people's business especially with my girls until that very day.

While waiting for Ivy, we nicely camwhored in Wan Li a.k.a Chikok's car. And there you see, Jing Ying(on the left) was the first time ever I saw in person wearing sleeveless tops. She became more feminine, I'm telling you and her market is even bigger than mine. Whoops!! Yea, you know what I meant, ok? Ssshhhh....

TRUST ME! I never thought I would be doing some embarassing pose in the cafe (like there were 1 bunch of boys opposite our table may be peeking) Damn... I'm a shy person and dontcha dare puke (which I know you will) Oh boy...~~

I admit! It was a dare from Jing Ying and Chikok. Well, they did poses too... Bahahaha!

Yuan Tian Da Di's Birthday/Teochew's Cultural Festival

It has really been awhile since I last updated and I really felt that I've lose some weight but I still don't have the courage to stand on the weighing machine. Aightsss.. Sounded pathetic,right? BUT, it's true la! Although, a lot of people that I haven't met at least 6 months said that I've slimmed down la. Whoopsss! =X

However, there are still some things in the world that I could not resist. Such as,

Followed by the Chinese calender, it was the 3rd day of the 3rd Month which was on the 16th April, it was Yuan Tian Da Di's BirthdaY!!! *Happy Birthday.... =)*

At the same time, it was also the Teochew's Cultural Festival held in and opposite the Old Temple in JB town.

Why would I say "in and opposite", because on the 16th and 17th April, if I was not mistaken, it was the Opening Ceremony and the Teochew's Opera performance. And as for the 3rd day

This was the opposite of the Old Temple... where FOOD was!!!!!!!!

I'm a Teochew myself but I admitted a long time ago that when it comes to speaking, it was awesomely primary school's standard. Go on... just laugh... Yea, I know...

But when it comes to Teochew's FOODDDD, it just felt like home. Seriously awww, right? I LOVEEEE POPIAH. But I have never tried eating "uncut" popiah until that day. The feeling damn shiok!!

I feel so honoured to blog once again and I apologized for the very late update. I wasn't aware that my desktop has been aging day by day. Upon contracting diseases and illnesses, it was been hospitalized and was discharged a few days back.

Went for the 1st day of Chingay which was the opening ceremony whereby they'll be bringing the 5 biggest GODS out for "strolling". Well, I'm putting it in a nice way but it was true la.

It was a frigging hot weather on that very day. But still LOVE IT!

Always love to watch the dragon and lion dances and I always wanted to play the Chinese drum ever since I was a baby girl. I want to complete THAT wish of mine before I leave.

CHOI!!

From January till March, today, are the hottest MONTHS of the year. Oh, my.. Which also made time past so fast and it was already the 2nd day of Chingay!!! I was sooo super glad that it actually rained before the parade even started. We were soaked yet again, happy. =P

Some of you must be wondering why am I kinda like crazy over Chingay...

Seeing loads of familiar faces and loads of friends.
Enjoy watching the lion and dragon dances.
Overcoming the fear of the BIG HEAD DOLLS (which I actually did after being hugged by one of them during the open ceremony)

Welcome/Giving prayers to the 5 biggest Gods. (Although I'm not really the religious kinda person)

Many people said that the both of us looked like Justin's parents or even the picture itself looked like a FAMILY PORTRAIT. Hahaha.

Not forgetting Yvonne Ho. Don't know why but I feel that I'll gonna miss her when she's out to further her studies in Britain. Awww... Had fun with this babe. =)

Chap Goh Meh

During the Chap Goh Meh's EVE, Baby treated me to Korean lunch. "awww". He wanted to try something new too and damn, we were full. Solved part of my dinner too. =)

Trust me, it was cooked after that. We didn't eat it raw. ~~Only if it was sashimi~~ . No worries, peeps. *winks*

My hands were feeling itchy to write nonsense after I've seen so many people commenting about their food and ya de ya de. When I say nonsense, the korean food can't be compared to the one I ate it in Stulang near the Duty Free Zone in town. Hehe.

JUST look at them. Daddy Mommy mesmerizing old times. Serrrrrr- weettttttt..

Have a very early breakfast with baby on the 15th day of CNY. He has to go for his dragon dance troop after that. So proud of him. =P

Finally on the 15th night, my family and I went for prayers at the Guan Yin Temple in Taman Perling. Then we saw loads of people at the basketball court behind the temple. They were all patiently waiting for the Dragon Dance performance... Not baby's troop. Sighhh, but it was ALLLLL- right. Heh. But I definitely like it when the dragon started to gulung here and there. If you know what I mean, I think?

And admiring the fireworks close up were one of the best part of my life.

We all know of all 12 months, FEBRUARY is the shortest month of the year. I say, this year 2010 is a very special year cuz Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year falls in the same day same date. Moreover, we are now here celebrating the last day of Chinese New Year or Chap Goh Meh (15th night) and at the same time, bidding farewell to the last day of February.

Boy, time past us so fast, doesn't it? But I just can't wait for CHINGAY... Never miss that fun part EVER!

The Cutest Person of THEM All

Right.. I missed out a part during CNY. Which was then hmmmmm.... the night when I just got back from Singapore with Wendy and the rest. We went to YVONNE HO'S place to have our dinner and the gambling stake.

We were happily playing blackjack. I got doubles for 1 or 2 times. When the 3rd one came, I was super duper luper wuper carried away. Trust me, it was awesome until I accidentally showed hands where it was only a double (King King/ King Jack) for whatever it was. SAME THING MA! Fortunately, I don't have to pay the banker. I still won her MA. Bahahaha.
THEN the YVONNE HO kept saying I was soo cute like I just got embarassed and she thought I was so cute. Just out of guessing, whenever she's moody, she just has to think about me and she'll laugh her ASS off.
